Are you running from your destiny?

As a child we all dream and anticipate of adulthood. Some people vision themselves to be a doctor, lawyer, singer, so just a wonderful person with lots of money and friends. But how many people actually thought about how they would achieve their goal? I didn't. I have always had faith in God and His word says "faith without works is dead". but He never said how much work you have to do.

I always knew that I was destined for greatness (not by my own might but by and through God). However, I had so many dreams but not enough dedication to make them reality. Well, I will take that back because I have accomplished a lot but only short term...if that makes since. I wanted to be a singer...I did several talent shows however I didn't stick with it-I didn't practice enough so I put it on the back burner. Then I wanted to start a production company...so I did and I held a gospel talent showcase...however....I didn't do anything else after that. Next, I started catering dinners out of my home. The first time I sold over 50 dinners. I did it one more time then I stopped. Currently, I help people find jobs by submitting their resume/applications that I they qualify for. How long will this last? Are you all noticing a pattern here? Can you relate so far? My husband laughs at me because he says every week I come up with a new idea for a business but... that's all! It's like having a car but you want drive long enough to get to the store. You only drive it to prove to your self you can. God gave me and everyone gifts and talents but what do we do with them?

I believe that everything happens for a reason and what is meant to be will be but is that ever a cop out? Was I suppose to be a great singer but I gave up? Was I suppose to have a production company that showcased aspiring artist to help get them establish? Was I suppose to be a cater or personal service? Or is what God has for me still on the way? Or am I running from my destiny? What do you think?

Hey cuz. I love the spot! I don't think you are running. You are still finding who you are. While you thought you might have known, motherhood and marriage opens doors of rediscovery that we would've never otherwised imagined!

Hi Tia's Cousin! Tia told me about your blog :) Wanted to stop by and show some love.

God says that he has gifts and talents for us all. I don't believe that you are running, but I do believe that God is waiting for you to stay still long enough for him to do what he needs to do in you to prepare you for your gift so your gift can catch up with you.

Sometimes we get caught up in what we want to do instead on seeking what God wants us to do. It took me a long time to figure that out. For a long time I pursued law enforcement and many other things, but when sat still God showed me a gift that I didn't even know I had. Now, I am a photographer and I could imagine doing anything else because it brings me so much joy that I have never experienced in the other areas that I am tried to pursue.

Blessings,

Yay..thanks Tarsha! She is a woman of many talents! So many that she can't see straight. We both know about sitting still...but I think it takes someone else to reinforce it.

Thank you both for commenting. I am new to this and I told Tia I couldn't go to sleep until someone commented (other than her. lol)Thank you again Natarsha and you both are right-I need to sit still and pray and wait until God tells me to move and then follow His lead.

Hey baby sis, How insightful. We are beings of infinite energy. As we move about our world, we can choose to serve as a blessing in everything we do. I was at these functions with you. And every one that heard your voice was blessed, every one that performed on your stage was blessed and everyone that ate your wonderful food was blessed.

When we choose to serve God in His infinteness. We do. From our frame of reference, we can only see part of the big picture. However, what may seem small to us has a big rippling effect. Serve openly and revently and all else will come. It must. It is how God designed the universe, the system of substance hoped for and evidence not seen. It is there in his Word. Take it for granted. Enjoy the His presence with you now. Take time look around. Count your blessings and watch them multiply. God is in the present moment as the Present. Open this magnificent gift He placed nearer than breath and closer than hands and feet.

Although I tease you. You are a gift of wonderment to me. I enjoy the soundof your voice, the way in which you hanlde your children, how you negotiate your creditors. How much have I been blessed by your laughter, your perspective, and your ability to make a decision and follow through? How many others have thought about it and did nothing? There is a season for everthing and God blessed you with the ability to move through each venture with confidence and success. Continue to serve and when your season comes to stand, you will, along with your natural grace and eloquence. You are already a success. Enjoy the moment of NOW. Love ya
